
This is one of my favorite places. The sunrises and sunsets are amazing. If you plan to camp on a weekend or holiday and want a prime spot with electric make reservations a couple months in advance. There are usually a few first come first serve sites and those can only be used for 4 day increments. The bath houses close to the beach are usually built better even though they are all kept very clean by the cleaning service that comes into the park daily. Our last trip our hot water heater was out on our brand new 2019 Coleman Camper for 9 days. Thank goodness for the hot showers in the bath houses! The park staff members were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend a camping trip for a family to Greers Ferry Lake. Different parks have different activities, different marinas have different boat rental options. There are so many things to do, just swimming at the beach, walking in the park, relaxing at your campsite, whether it is with a camper or just a tent, there is a lot of fun to be had in the parks...

Rumor has is there are giant catfish especially near the dam. However, never seen one personally. If you want to chill then I suggest staying out of the coves as snakes tend to gather there and yes they will swim right up to you. There seems to be a couple of other things to do if you like going up into mountains and things like that. If you go here, I would highly recommend Deep Woods Off.
