Sugarloaf Mountain has several trails with different degree of difficulties - we went up the Summit Trail on Memorial Day Weekend and it was very nice. The trails are open and maintain very well. It is steep so I wouldn't recommend this for small kids or anyone that may have trouble walking up steep inclines. When you reach the top there is climbing involved on rocks to go up the rest of the way. We did not go all the way to to the top with our 5 year old because it was a little more advanced. Sugarloaf Mountain is located about 3 miles outside of Heber Springs. We went to Collins Creek and Sugarloaf Mountain in the same day. We spent about an hour at Collins Creek and 2 hours at Sugarloaf Mountain. Collins Creek is about 4 miles from...

Nice area behind ASU Heber Springs. Wife has bad knees, so we hiked the Tonawanda trail. Nice walk. We are still trying to find the story behind the Mystery of Pontiac Point on this trail. I bet its a good story on this 53 Chieftan. The only thing we did not like on this trail is the couple of pieces of litter we found and carried out. (To whom it may concern, you're welcome, stop being disrespectful) All of the locals we came across out here, from the 2 legged to the 4 legged, were very friendly and welcoming. Which is not what we heard it was like. We will try a different trail next time we are here. Great...

I have never climbed a mountain before so this experience was crazy for me! I am not in the best shape so the trail up was hard on me but once you get to the rocks it isn't as bad. We were almost to the top and we had to climb up over a crevice and I was so scared! I almost didn't make it up but the sweetest family came by and the dad helped me up and made me feel more comfortable! It was so worth it for the view and for the amazing memories. I felt so proud of myself for doing getting to the top. Maybe it's not a lot to some people but to me it was huge and definitely something I will remember for the...

I'm goanna rate this moderate to hard. Cause we rock climbed to the top like spider family. And the view was worth the climb. Do it if u ready for an challge with the view being the reward . Take your time and don't get in bind for sure . And it cost 5 dollar at the swim beach on down at Heber so we had a big day . Hike , rock climbing ,lunch , and swam . Awesome time once in a life time it felt like . And the weather was fantastic for September 1
