Lots of mixed feelings about this place. First the good things: great prices (love the 12 dollar Friday nights), super close to helena which is awesome, and lots of fun features and jumps to practice on. I also love the lodge since it has a fun classic ski lodge vibe and the other huts on the mountains are awesome. The Snow is okay but there are lots of spots with no snow at all. I do understand that this isn't their fault and I like how they compensate by building fun features around the mountain. The only thing that really bothers me is the staff. A younger women inside at the ticket desk was very rude and greeted me with "what do you want". Also the chubby guy with the red beard is SUPER rude and yells at everyone on the lifts. I have tried saying hi and wishing him a good day and he doesn't respond. I’ve also heard him yell at kids. New guy working on the lifts this Friday was very nice though so I appreciated that. The food workers have also been pretty kind. Keep up the...

I am a MT native, born and raised. I grew up skiing at Bridger Bowl and Big Sky. I have raced down Big Mountain and Red Lodge. While those were amazing places to ski, Great Divide has that local and community feel that other ski resorts have lost over the years. This is in my opinion, the BEST place to teach littles how to ski. It is affordable for parents and it is perfect learning terrain on the lower lifts. Also, the rental gear I have seen adults wearing look new, nice, and decent quality that I don’t think you find at other resorts for the price. The kids rentals are awesome. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, they seem to be genuinely concerned for safety and making sure everyone has fun. This is one of those hidden Montana gems that hasn’t quite been discovered yet….for now. Thank you Great Divide for offering us the chance to make ski memories...

Good area to ski but management is extremely difficult to work with. If you do go definitely don’t order your tickets online - you will have issues. Management says one thing and then does another. Very disappointed with the way my situation was handled. We needed a refund for online tickets. I was told “I’ll get it taken care of after I shovel” now the word is that it’ll be ten days before I get my refund. Betsy was extremely rude and aggressive in our conversations. Needless to say they will get my business because they are the only option in town and that’s about it. Avoid online ticket purchases at all costs.

Edit since I can’t reply - it wasn’t the refund itself it was definitely the way it was handled. I’m a business women I am completely aware of how things work. But the “I don’t care screw you” attitude was what prompted...

The best small ski area you'll ever visit. The Taylors are so friendly, there are a crazy amount of honey holes, and the terrain is fun and unique. Also love the feel of the lodge/deck, and some great drinks at the lively bar. Also, you won't find this cheap of a ticket anywhere. For the amount of terrain, this is the best deal in skiing. The double chairs are slow and the snow can be thin, but it's all part of the experience!
