Sonata Park — Attraction in Henderson

I have lived about 5 minutes from here for over 10 years, and have never visited before. Not sure why, but it is a very nice park. Playground, tennis courts, and a large open field for a variety of activities. It does seem as if the park wasn't finished though. There is a lower parking area right next to a large undeveloped area. KInd of strange. I know there must have been a plan, just don't know what it was. The park also leads to some nice walking trails that go between some of the housing...

My grandson has soccer matches in the field below the playground/picnic area...otherwise, I probably would not have discovered this park. The boys enjoy the playground and a snack under the covered picnic area after soccer. There is also a nice wide walking trail alongside the park which seems to be popular for dog-walking. There are also benches spread out intermittently along said trail. Plenty of parking above & below...but restrooms only in...

Big beautiful park complete with huge soccer field, basketball courts, tennis courts, playground, restrooms, and trails. Lots of off leash dog owners here though. Coyotes please be aware that in the early morning and late evening there are roaming Coyote packs. They mostly shy away from humans but they will attack your leashed pet! Or even small child if you're not close enough. Carry a hunting knife if you go during...
