Iâm so disappointed and bummed that I even have to write this review. I had such high expectations for this place, especially based on all the positive reviews. Our family visits haunted attractions every weekend in October, and weâve been to countless ones over the years â unfortunately, this one ranks in my top three worst experiences.
To start, if you buy tickets online, they charge a $10 fee per ticket, which is one of the highest Iâve seen so far. Still, I was willing to overlook it in hopes that it would be worth it in the end. I didnât even mind the 40-minute car line for parking, the $5 parking fee, or even the 2.5-hour wait outside in the freezing cold â I was genuinely expecting it to be amazing.
There was a live band while we waited, which was a cool touch. They also had a big screen, but it only played 5-second clips of movies on repeat. It wouldâve been so much better (and helped pass the time) if they had actually shown full-length films. It just felt like a missed opportunity.
Now, on to the attraction itself â it could have been great, but the experience was completely ruined because they donât space groups out. We were right on top of the group in front of us, and another group was right behind us, so it ended up feeling like a crowd of 20 people walking through together. I was in the back, constantly being bumped and stepped on, and couldnât enjoy the details or any of the scares.
By the time we got out, I was irritated and honestly just disappointed. I wanted to love it â to feel like the 2-hour drive, $50 ticket price, and long wait were all worth it â but it couldnât have been further from that. I understand theyâre trying to shorten wait times, but I wouldâve gladly waited even 4 hours for a properly spaced, immersive experience.
I donât usually write negative reviews, but sometimes feedback is needed to help businesses improve. I truly hope they read this and make some adjustments for next season so others can have the great experience I...
Read moreWe originally went opening night this year and absolutely loved it. Seemed like it was more like something out of universal studios but located in Hendersonville, NC. The character actors were amazing.
We decided to go back this past Sunday night to experience the magic all over again. (Totally different experience) I emailed them but didnât get a response. I really wanted a refund. It was a little over 100.00 for two people and thatâs not cheap entertainment for under an hour, I had the same expectations of how good it was in Sept 2025. We were rushed through the whole thing. People were running into the back of us and we were running into people ahead of us being pushed through so fast. And there wasnât really any long lines. I know it was raining but it wasnât that bad. A lot of the characters that were there our first visit wasnât, the crew they had Sunday, their acting was awful. The first cabin we came upon, we were asked by the character actor was it raining outside. (Really ruined the illusion) I was asked when we were leaving how we liked it and I told the employee that I was very dissatisfied this time. I said it was super rushed and seemed like it was missing a lot of characters. The headless horseman wasnât even out. We were told 11 character actors werenât there which would explain why we went through some exhibits with just heavy fogged rooms, but no one jumping out at you. The guy that does the creepy long legged thing on stilts wasnât out either. Def didnât feel like we got what we paid for and if they canât make it right, I wonât be returning again for the money we spent next year and/or sending them business. I have told so many people about it from the opening weekend how good it was, but canât say the same...
Read moreBefore you spend your money anywhere else, you must come here first. I'll start by saying I am not being payed for this review. I am a paying customer just like you. My wife and I visited the The Haunted Farms for the first time on 9/30/2023. We try new haunted attractions every year. This is by far the best I have seen. I recommend to buy the fast passes but if you have to wait in line the Lively family provides a wide screen projector and a band to watch while you wait. I promise the wait is worth it. It seems like the attractions never end. The attraction just keeps going and going. You will be spaced out enough to enjoy everything. Take time to pay attention to the detail that has been put into the walls and rooms. Unbelievable doesn't say enough about this place. There is over 100 actors and staff on hand. Henderson County Sheriff's Office provides on site security. Everyone is friendly and the waiting area is extremely clean. I had the pleasure of meeting the Lively family while I was there. I had to tell them how much I appreciate their hard work. Mr. Lively stated "If you spend good money on a steak you deserve the best steak there is to offer." The Lively family are hard working ordinary farmers that want to provide you the best experience they can. I won't share the numbers he said but they have spent more on building this attraction than I will make in my lifetime. Please make the trip. You will not regret it and take time to thank the Lively family for this...
