Fiborn Karst Preserve — Attraction in Hendricks Township

There is an awful lot of history here and it's a very interesting walk. The area is poorly marked and parking is insufficient. There could be some limestone rocks placed here and there to allow some seating for those making the walk to the back. The buildings are extremely historical and very interesting but there is absolutely no maintenance going on here and it would be easy for someone to get hurt I would recommend that you try it but watch out for your own safety and be careful...

A really cool piece of history. My boys (aged 7&5) loved running around the quarry and climbing the rocks! The abandoned machine shop and remains of others buildings are still there. I loved that it is not comercialized and free to enter. We saw almost nobody the entire time...

This was a really cool find! You'll come to a sign and a gate, you can park at the gate and walk in. There is a trail that circles the quarry or you can go your own way. Definitely would not recommend for anyone with a handicap or difficulty walking rough terrain...
