Malibu Park — Attraction in Hesperia

This is a nice park due to it being a newer park and a newer playground. There are many things for kids of all ages to play on. It has a nice covered area with picnic table. My issue with the park is the set-up. It is very close to the street, it is literally park, sidewalk then street. There is nothing to stop kids from chasing a ball or kids playing chase from running into the street. It would be very easy for a child to run in or very close to the street. The picnic tables are in the far corner so if a kid decided to run near the street you can't stop them because you are too far away to get there in time. I have seen groups of parents bring folding chairs and make a human barrier to block kids from going in to the street. The other issue is the baseball field, which is below the playarea has no bathrooms and there's no gate from the field to the play area where the bathrooms are. If you are at the baseball field you have to either walk down and then up the street or get in your car and drive to the park for the bathrooms. It's very inconvenient especially for kids who can't hold it very long. This park would be great if there was more safety between the park and the street and access to the bathrooms...

This is a great place but wish there was more bench's around it maybe a club area were there inside you can sit in case its to hot when you come out to walk to take a rest a bit maybe a radio or tv to watch or listen to while you rest they could have a food stand there some one there selling thing like ice cream Popsicles soda water hamburgers hot dogs Frye's candy things like that .maybe have a bingo night or movie night . Ok...

The city needs to do a better job of maintaining the park. For one the drinking fountains don't work and haven't for years. The sail shades are in need of replacing. Come on City of Hesperia our citizens deserve better. 11/17/19 Bring water still no drinking fountains. I guess all the money goes to park and rec big wigs.The sails were repaired thank...
