I am writing this review in response to my son's 8th birthday event that just occurred at the Sky Zone. The party was a complete operational disaster that resulted in myself being thoroughly embarrassed in front of all of my son's party guests and parents in addition to my son being thoroughly disappointed in the entire event.
There were several issues that I would like addressed following the event:
· I was not greeted by my party host upon arrival and after 15 minutes of waiting for her at check in, at 1:15PM I started walking around the place trying to locate her and found her cleaning up after another party.
· I was not provided with the Sky Zone t-shirt for my son upon arrival. I had to return to the desk after I located Taylor and request someone at the desk provide the shirt. I was eventually provided the shirt only after the desk person at the desk checked details of my reservation which took another 5 minutes to look up.
· At 1: 30PM (even though we were scheduled to arrive at 1PM to get ready and set up) we were finally escorted to the upper party room. Taylor, our host, told us that we had the entire room and asked to help us set up decorations which she did for the entire space. We then had the children go off and jump while the adults completed setting up the room with Taylor and myself during the party.
· At 1:45PM I saw Taylor again walking around the facility and asked her what the plan was for the party. She asked how I would like to arrange the time. I asked her what was optimal, and she said have the kids jump, eat, have icee's and cupcakes and then conclude. I agreed. I asked her what the best time was to start the pizza and she said, 2:15PM. I asked if she would help me round up the party at that time and she said, "Yes".
· At 2:15PM I could not find Taylor and went looking for her yet again. When I found her this time, she informed me that my party would need to be moved out of the space that: she promised us, she helped set up and my guests were already enjoying themselves. I told her that we were now scheduled to eat and that in the middle of the party was not a good time to move out of space. I then asked to speak with the manager after she said there was no other way and that if I did not move out of the space that they were going to charge me an additional $100. I told her that I wanted to go back to my party (my son is autistic, and I chose the Sky Zone because I wanted to enjoy the party with my son who needs my help to participate and not worry about party room planning).
This entire ordeal was unnecessary, embarrassing and ruined my autistic son's 8th birthday party. The room(s) should not have been double booked, undivided or whatever the case was, and if a mistake was made it is not the responsibility of the guest in the middle of their party to stop their party to help rearrange rooms, decorations and reroute guests from parties. The food should have been delivered as ordered or someone should have taken responsibility and informed us that the food was unavailable. Water is basic and was also clearly outlined in my order. The worst part of the whole experience was that I spent 70% of my party talking to Kevin and Taylor and trying to hunt them down for food, drinks, Icees only then to be repeatedly humiliated in front of my son's guests and parents by Kevin and Taylor the entire event. This coupled with the fact that they were very comfortable in treating me this way and feared zero consequences for their...
Read moreIt is untypical for me to go out of my way to leave a poor review of an experience. However, this warranted one. I visited the Highland Heights Sky Zone website and clicked "BUY TICKETS". I selected a Single Day Pass for the following day for 90 minutes for three children, along with three pairs of socks. I received an email confirmation restating our reservation for 9:00 a.m. The following day, I took my son and two other children to Sky Zone for my son's fourth birthday. We arrived at 9:00 a.m. and found the empty (and dirty) parking lot. I called the number on their website and was informed by someone at a call center that this location actually opens at 10:00 a.m. The woman at the call center assured me that my information would be sent to the manager and told me to expect to be contacted shortly. However, the location manager never contacted me. In fact, the manager arrived at 10:02 a.m. and did not acknowledge us or the other families waiting with 10:00 a.m. reservations. She grumpily walked in and cold-opened the facility without acknowledging our presence. Once she turned on the lights and powered on the computers, I calmly approached the counter to explain what happened. The manager and her associate were incredibly rude and dismissive. They blamed me for not checking their store hours, even though 9:00 a.m. was available for ticket purchase on their website. I remained reasonable and presented the facts, but the manager was argumentative and rolled her eyes several times. This was without a doubt the worst customer service experience I have encountered in years. The level of unprofessionalism shown by the manager was staggering, leaving me feeling like a fool for spending $88 for three children to jump for 90 minutes. She did not apologize for the inconvenience or suggest a way to make it right. I had to ask her about it, and she said she couldn't offer a refund but could give us passes for a future visit. Regardless, someone else will have to take my kids because my experience was so miserable, I do not wish to go back. Additionally, the trampolines, carpet, and walk areas needed a thorough cleaning. Though the whole experience was disheartening, I shielded my children from it to maintain the excitement around the...
Read moreIt was my first time there, and admittedly, I was so excited to go. I've been wanting to check this place out for a really long time. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the experience one single bit. First off, the stench. From the moment I walked in the door, all I could smell was musty people, weed, and chicken. No shade to those who smoke and eat fried food, I'm just saying...ugh.
Second, the facility itself was filthy. When you buy jump time, you're given a pair of slipper socks. Everyone walking around that place had socks that were pitch black on the bottom. Clearly the young people who work there don't care about cleaning the place. Perhaps they aren't required to, but again...ugh.
Third, the trampolines themselves were abhorrently nasty. I don't know how one cleans a trampoline, but if I owned this place I'd surely be trying to figure it out. Furthermore, the vat of Styrofoam blocks that the children could jump into was equally if not filthier than the trampolines. I could tell that the blocks were orange and blue, but the ring of filthy black dirt around them was enough to make me wanna vomit.
Finally, the party rooms. I was told that the parry I attended would end at 4:30. I offered to help my friend clean up. She turned and said to me, "Clean up?" "No, we don't clean up, we just gather our things and get out before the next group comes in." Okay, no problem. I watched them gather up everything, and before I knew it, the next group was there. I never saw anyone go in with a Clorox wipe, or anything to clean down the surfaces, which told me that the room wasn't cleaned before we got there.
The service was horrible. Apparently there was a hostess who was supposed to bring pitchers of water and juice to our party room, but someone had to go find her everytime we needed something. I don't know if that was a result of a staffing issue or if she was hiding from us, but it was insane to run around looking for her.
In short, the kids absolutely love this place. They were in heaven being able to jump on the furniture. But patents beware, this place is grossly disgusting, poorly staffed and over priced. I'd take my kid outside to play kickball for free before I pay for a...
