So this is probably not a good place to go on vacation and take your camper and have a great time because you're not allowed to have beer and you're not allowed to make friends there. So my girlfriend Lisa was heavily discriminated by the owner or let's say the clerks. They mistreated Lisa and they also Miss treated me as well they called the police on me and they said that we are stealing their lot space which was not true. One of the older ladies there that was a customer called the police on me and said we are stealing a lot space and we were not Lisa actually knows the owners and they came down and put a no trespassing on us they charged us I believe $172 for two nights. And then we're not allowed to go there ever again. The sad thing is that they're actually on leases property they do business right behind Lisa's 2.5 10-acre million dollar Ranch. It's really sad when you see our elders mistreating younger youth Generations because they're upset because they're not having a good time and they're not happy in life. When you get older you will truly get grumpy. Don't be like these Scrooge's don't be like these mean twisted grumpy old beat-up Haggard generation of deadbeats that are upset because I'm a superstar and I'm Spanish. Get over it get over themselves maybe they should learn how to get close to God instead of getting close...

We are residents here of Highland Village and today we drove to Pilot Knoll Park to get an assessment on future camping. We’ve seen the park from our boat and wanted to view it more in depth. Today we pulled up to the guarded gate and the park host opens the door and sticks her head and shoulders through the door enough to acknowledge and that’s it. We asked if we could just pull through the park and look at it and see how the campsite was. Pretty simple request that I’ve never had denied, until today. She asked what we needed to see. I told her. She asked what type of camping. I said tenting. She then stated they did not offer tent camping it was only for rv’s. Hmmmm, well when I was pulling up the site to give this review it does in fact say they have tent sites, 55 of them actually. So, needless to say, we were denied the privilege to look at the property. And we were told they offer no tent sites. Perhaps she needs to review her property map and be reminded of what the park offers. As a park host she seemed to care less. Anyway, a customer was lost today. And a bad review posted that could have been a 5 star in the future. So sad to see customers trying and wanting to give the park future business run off in less than...

Really excellent camp grounds. Didn't see the day pass area but stayed in the campground overnight. Beautiful vista's, reasonably clean bathrooms for a government run campground. It's not Buc-ee's let me just say that.

All their camp spots are designed for RVs so they all have electric and water hookups. You may use them if you just have a tent ⛺️

Picnic tables, a grill and a firepit are at your spot. You can swim in the lake, fish, boat, just about anything you can think of outdoors.

They even have an equestrian trail for those of you with a horse. Personally I would rather an ATV but if you would rather ride 2000 pounds of meat you do you.

Trash cans everywhere, wildlife absolutely want your food so lock your food up or toss it.

Secure facility. You have to have a code to get in. They have the info of everyone who comes in, you have to show your drivers license to get a spot.

Firewood vending machine available. Not sure if you can get ice automated or if you have to visit the office but ice is for sale here.

Playground for kids! Like it's not massive but hey it's in good order and shaded.

Beautiful vista's, worth going to. Like 30 something per night. I don't remember. That will just go up more and...

Great public campground and park operated by the City of Highland Village on Lewisville Lake. Their are excellent trails to walk or ride horses, even has a coral for your horses! Super clean facility, great campsites on the lake with 30 and 50 amp service all with water. There's a dump station near the exit. Day sites available on the lake, covered. Even has a couple of pavilions to rent. Very large easy boat launch ramp with dock access loading. Well lit at night.

This park is city owned and loved by the locals. The campsite parking spots are long, which makes for room for your camper plus two cars. Many campers also parked their boat on site as well. If interested in floating in the water, keep in mind that the lower numbered spots on the water put you right in the cove. We had spot 32; here are a few pics of our beautiful views. This is our new favorite local spot.
