Wichita Forest — Attraction in Highland Village

Horrible excuse for a nature preserve it is all blocked off to any type of public Access only open to private access a few homeowners that homes are backed up onto this property and they're the ones that are crashing this place and then public as in public officialsso like a park ranger or cop can see the amount of damage and destruction that's going on in here something has to horribly wrong I shame on the ridge homeowners that back up...

I needed a hit of some nature this morning. Living in a city for school when I’m a nature loving girl gets hard sometimes. This place did the trick for me this morning though. There’s definitely some parts that could use a trash pick up but there’s lots of twisting and turning trails that you could walk on for a good while in this small area. I visited this place in September 2021 when I first started learning about photography. In my opinion the biggest pro of this small forest preserve is how secluded it feels. I went during sunrise and it was a nice escape from the bustling city. I returned a few weeks ago to check it out and understandably so it did not look as nice.
