Silver lake park is gorgeous. This park is perfect for taking family photos, having a birthday party or cookout, playing disc golf (Frisbee golf) or "hiking". The park has multiple pavilions that can be rented at low cost. There is a small gazebo that overlooks the lake and multiple playgrounds with old but sturdy equipment. When you first drive in, the grove of trees is perfect for photos, the trees were planted in rows and are old and tall, as most of the trees in this beautiful spot. There is also a tunnel of pine trees, a waterfall and bridges, and of course the shimmering lake. There are bathrooms near most pavilions and one by the docks. I caution any visitor to be careful on the drive, the road winds and locals are used to the turns and take it pretty fast. If you go to silver lake at night and walk to the fields, there is an amazing lightning bug show that rivals...

I visited on a pleasant Saturday in early March and saw multiple people enjoying the disc golf course, several boat trailers at the boat ramp, senior citizens interacting with young kids, and numerous others just out for a walk in the park.
