Stopped at this short but very scenic hike in June. It says it is a .6 mile walk but only half of that it uphill on a very wide paved path. At the midway point there is an overlook where you can see the falls. If you want to get a little closer you can head down about 30-50 stairs for an amazing view. There are no restrooms at the trailhead and you are supposed to self pay $3 per vehicle for parking and display the hang tag.

Whitewater Falls is a stunningly beautiful, multi-drop cascading waterfall near Cashiers, NC and the South Carolina state line. It's a gorgeous waterfall, and well worth the half-mile (round trip) hike to view a 400+ foot cascade. Back in 2016 we took my 80+ year old mom along so it was an easy hike. It is well worth the effort if you like waterfalls!

The actual view of Whitewater falls was about 1/2 mile Northwest of the Foothills trail pulloff- there was a parking lot and an actual turn down a road, across from a sign. The trail marker says it is a 1/2 mile hike to the viewing area from the nice parking lot WITH a bathroom...beautiful falls!
