A Wonderfull nature trail. My backyard goes a foot into the water. Home to many creatures that get a chance to grow. Hugest oldest groundhog you 3ver will see has 3 spots on my property that I know of. Largest snappers I ever saw always nesting, currently on a bark pile. If you show up at the right time you will see hundreds of baby snapper turtles. Squirells and their families, with alwaysone whiteback and another upcoming adolescent, and lots and a huge variety of birds af9r the area.. White and Blue Herons, 3agles, and Continental Ducks afoot. Aong with the 24/7 airforce trainings and the occasional Air Force 1, which in my opinion is only noteworthy and Completely dependent on that current puppet. Read moreA fairly short but beautiful walk and an impressively well kept trail/boardwalk with ample shade. Bug spray wouldn't hurt depending on your visit timing, but always a wonderful assortment of wildlife if you're inclined to watch. The trail is a mostly flat, mostly straight and is less than 1 mile each way with a few benches along the way. Turtles, herons and other birds, snakes, frogs, and fish are regularly seen, and just this morning I crossed paths with a fox. This trail has quickly become my favorite...
Read moreWe love this little park. The majority of the walking trail is wooden plank, with a little bit of roughness (stone). Parts can get muddy, so if it has recently rained, wear proper footwear!
The reservoir attracts a lot of birds and other wildlife! We love to go after a decent rain.
