Lake Kissimmee Campground — Attraction in Hillcrest Heights

Amazing Camping Trip , what better way to wake up to seeing deer and wild turkeys right from your tent!!

Amazing camp host and rangers!! Bathrooms are always clean and plenty of super hot water!! Camp grounds are always clean and another nice feature is the site numbers are on the road for your convenience as well!!

This is my second time here and I will continue coming here for years to come Earlier I was taken down my tent and three turkeys came over and didn't want me to take my tent stakes out like they didn't want me to leave it was so awesome

I found this park to be an amazing tent camping experience. Most of the campsites are very spacious, with plenty of shade, and the park is full of wildlife, we were visited by deers, armadillos and woodpeckers. If you bring mountain bikes, avoid trail #4 “Gobbler Ridge” as it’s full of sugar sand. We enjoyed trail #1 “Kristin Jacobs” quite a lot and you don’t have to do the full loop, as it crosses the main road several times, you can return back to camp at any crossing. Lake Kissimmee is on the top of our list for being one of the most scenic and quite Florida state parks campground. The camp ground is laid out nicely so the sites have a lot of privacy with easy access to the shower/bathrooms. It’s off the beaten track so it’s nice and quite. The park has excellent fishing/kayaking/boating access. The park has some pretty nice hiking trails with plenty of wildlife viewing. My favorite feature is all the oak tree hammocks providing...
