The Haunting of River Ranch — Attraction in Hillcrest Heights

This attraction has potential but I went on Saturday night, and it was lame. Excellent setting up the story/theme and nice narration with music but the scare fell short. They set up a lot of work with town props but again nothing scary. There were only 4 actors who just ran around the hayride screaming. They could have done so so much better. I have been on Haunted Hayrides that scare can challenge you but this was the bare minimum. Also, you start in a barn and all you have is 1 guy running around with a chainsaw. They need better execution, more actors, and maybe special effects. The whole thing just fell short. I don't understand how this has 4.9 google ratings as it is not even close. Again nice decent ride to the haunted town on the tractor with eerie music and great narration but you get there and have the same people running around screaming. Poorly executed. Hopefully, they will improve on it for the future but for now, if you get it free as part of a package it is just a nice ride but going there to pay to see this is...
