I grew up occasionally fishing this lake and staying at the campground. It is well kept. Fishing has always been good- they have. Healthy white and wiper population. Campgrounds have plenty to do. The facilities are kept up and clean. I have no idea on camping rates anymore but I'd recommend a stay to anyone who hasn't checked it out yet.

Camp sites are spread apart nicely, doesn't feel cramped at all. The covered picnic table areas and cement fire pits are great! No stores close but there's a nice last chance bait shop before the campgrounds. Everything's mowed nice. Only wish the water was a little higher so it would be closer to our site.

Perfect for photography. I enjoy the secluded feel at night, which is my primary purpose for visiting many of the lakes and reservoirs in the mid-west. This is easily accessible and has a few entrance points. My favorite is to start on the east point side and work my way around to the south and west.

It was off season, and pretty quiet out there. It was a rainy cool week luckily we were in a camper. Really check out campsites, not all have electric and water for campers. Some just have electric. The full hookups was closed and a gate across the road. Hopefully they will have the area open for the...
