I have a six year old son who loves going to the Ann Van Park to play on the playground and at the area where the "skatepark", which my son calls it, where you can skate and scoot on really cool and fun ramps! I really like going there as well because I like socializing with other parents of any new friends my son meets and plays with. My husband also loves to fish at their man-made pond that have fish in it to fish for. There's also a humongous basketball court where lots of games go on and gigantic fields for baseball games and other fun activities. They also have barbecues that they just installed not too long ago which is very convenient for the fact that me and my husband love to barbecue and recently just there and had a very nice barbecue gathering on the 4th of July. I do recommend this park if you have children or if you're an adult who loves cycling through bike trails which they do have as well. They have lots of different areas where you can do different activities and other fun things. I suggest anybody go there to just have fun and enjoy your time...
Read moreThis park is very out-of-the-way and if you're not a local, you might have a hard time finding it. It's small but it's actually a very nice little place to go for a walk, a jog, or just hang out. There is a very nice basketball court and a couple wooden skateboard ramps (half pipes). There are picnic tables under an open roofed area right next to public bathrooms with drinking water fountain. There's a mini playground area for kids, plenty of park benches, and a neat floating dock you can walk out on over the duck pond. There's a gravel toe path that is flat & runs along the outside of the old RR depot, then loops around through the woods back onto itself, and another paved path that is better for strollers. Bikes & dogs on leashes are allowed. There are no park rangers or ranger station, although I have seen cops patrol the parking lot occasionally. Also a nice place to just eat lunch or...

Either anglers taking fish out of this pond or non proper ways of catch an release. Line and bobbers all over the place… line free floating in water hooks line you name it…. it’s sad to see such a pond that was filled with plenty of species vanish. I’ve hesitated to leave this review to believe it a couple tries but theirs a serious issue this year theirs no more fish in this pond needs to...
