Β Β Β Read moreA great park to visit if you enjoy rocky trails and a bit of a workout. Sourland is a beautiful park Iβve had the chance to visit on several occasions. There are some easier trails, but if youβre looking for a more interesting experience, do check out the rocky trails. Though a word of caution: the trails can get tricky and could be challenging for anyone with stability issues or joint issues. The rocks can be slippery depending on the weather and hiking shoes are strongly recommend. Unless you are a truly seasoned hiker, donβt bring your bike. While there may not be waterfalls, there are many beautiful way points and a great view overlooking Hillsborough along one of the easier trails. Parking is ample and the trails are well marked. I didnβt notice too many bugs, but bring water and...
Β Β Β Read moreAwesome hiking!!! For me, it's close to home but even if it wasn't, it'd be worth the trip. Today was my first time there. I love hiking and have hiked most areas in NJ. This is a great mid -sized preserve that has several miles of trails. I hiked about 6-7 miles today but you could extend that by about 3 more miles, without going in circles. If you repeat trails, you could go all day. The terrain and inclines are moderate. It is not boring or overly simple, nor is it overwhelming. It is a perfect place for a couple hours out hiking in the woods. It is very quiet. It does not get crowded. There is only 1 parking lot and it was almost full today but the trails still did not seem crowded. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you enjoy a good...
