Carolina Grove — Attraction in Hillsborough

We highly recommend Carolina Grove for a wedding venue! Not only is it the most stunning venue, but the Carolina Grove team are incredible to work with. We had the pleasure of working with Pam and Melissa for our wedding in November 2022. Throughout the process, they were always super helpful, responsive, and accommodating. We also felt like we really connected with them. Their energy, positivity, and professionalism made for a really wonderful experience. From my first meeting with Melissa when I toured the venue to my final 30 day walk through with Pam, I could tell how much they cared about making our day so special and perfect – and it really was the best day ever!

The inside of the venue is breathtaking with the vaulted ceilings, large windows, and all white aesthetic. Everything is super clean, even the bathrooms are really nice! My husband really enjoyed the groomsmen suite as well, there was a TV and plenty of space for them to move around as they could utilize the upstairs and downstairs suite And the bridal suite is AMAZING. It’s very spacious, has a large bathroom, comfortable couches/lounging areas, and gorgeous floor length mirror. I wanted a venue where my girls and I would feel comfortable spending hours at and where everything could take place (e.g. hair/makeup, ceremony, and reception), and Carolina Grove is just that. There are so many different ways you can utilize the space which is what I loved most. There are so many options for great backdrops for photos as well as for a ceremony space. This venue is incredible. We had such a nice, smooth wedding day and I can't thank the staff/planner at Carolina Grove enough for all their help. Would definitely recommend using the Carolina Grove planning service as it made wedding day so smooth and easy for us as a couple. The planners know everything about the venue and they are so helpful in coordinating all vendors day of that you don't have to worry about anything! Aya was our planner and she was fantastic! We also enjoyed using all parts of the venue on our wedding day, from the outdoor ceremony to the cocktail hour (also outside), as well as the indoor reception to end the evening - the venue has such a nice flow to it and it's easy for your guests to know where to go for each part of the day.

The wedding party groups also have nice areas to get ready within the venue. I was able to have access pretty early on wedding day to start getting ready with my girls, and the staff made it fun and logistically possible for us to have meals up in the bridal suite while enjoying getting ready together and spending the day relaxing. I also liked the placement of the bridal suite because you can watch the day unfold and all the vendors set everything up so nicely - you can watch them do it from up above! The groom and groomsmen also have a nice area to hang out, and it is a very spacious spot with lots of room for games, space for food to be delivered, and it's far away from the girls if you as a couple aren't going to see each other before...

Carolina Grove was the venue of our DREAMS. I had been following them on Instagram since they broke ground a few years ago, and I knew this was where I would eventually want to get married. My now-husband didn’t take much convincing either; as soon as we toured, he said the trees in the ceremony space reminded him of those behind his house growing up. It felt so true to us, and we immediately booked our date.

The team at CG is phenomenal. Communication was exactly what we expected and needed, and their list of vendors helped us kickstart our search. They even indulged us in our request to bring a dueling piano band in as our entertainment (which, by the way, was amazing!!) The bar manager Stephen, made sure that everything was all set for drinks the night of, including incorporating all of the garnishes I brought in.

Our planner through the venue, Eliza, deserves her own paragraph. I am incredibly type A, and needed someone that matched my energy so that I could truly relax the day of. Eliza was all that and more. She was incredibly communicative from the start, made sure she was on top of every single little detail for the day, and managed all of our vendors so wonderfully. She was our biggest hype girl the day of, and everything ran just as smoothly as we hoped.
