Insanely expensive u-pick strawberries that are typically sprayed with pesticides. I was told this year they were not spraying but they are using fertilizer. Even if they aren’t spraying this year, there is an impact on the soil & berries from spraying previously so I would NOT consider these to be “no spray”. Other farms nearby have MUCH better pricing and strawberries.
Also, I felt like I got ripped off with their “coffee”. It’s made from an automated computerized machine that I’ve seen at hospitals or office spaces. For the high price tag similar to the pricing of a speciality coffee shop, I was assuming I was getting a proper espresso. I was also told to “be sure you stir the coffee because the mocha powder likes to clump up” um ew 🤣
I also ordered a small hot chocolate for my son and it was super watery so I’m assuming this wasn’t even made with milk.
Basically I left this farm thinking: “who do they think they are” 🤣 because the pricing here was insane.

Read moreI have been wanting to visit Eno River Farm since we knew there was going to be a farm going in. We FINALLY made it out! Missed strawberry picking but made it for ice cream and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! First of all, the comment about no masks does not hold up. Every person who was in the building had a mask on. The only people without masks were outside and socially distanced. Ok, now that that is out of the way, the ice cream is delicious!!! I am ice cream person and my husband is not as much. He said it was the best waffle cone he has ever had. Their cones are actually thick, substantial cones that you can taste rather than this wafer thin, tasteless crunch like others. The coconut ice cream actually has coconut flakes (and is AMAZING), same with the pineapple instead of just being flavored. We will absolutely be back, even talked about it being a Sunday tradition on the way home! So happy this has come to the area instead of another...
Read moreWe stopped by here to check it out and I have to say we were very impressed. It was a clean professional operation in a beautiful setting. The staff was friendly and helpful and seemed to take pride in what they were doing. The farm has pick your own seasonal produce, potted plants abd pre picked items as well. We didn’t do any picking this visit but we did enjoy some of their fresh made ice cream. I do have to mention they were out of several common flavors but it was late in the day and that is often the nature of fresh made products. Also be warned that there are lots of yellow jackets around when you are eating your ice cream but this is not really the business’s fault. We just made them a pile of ice cream a little bit away from us and they seemed content staying around that. Some of the staff wasn’t wearing masks but it is kind of an outdoors type place and all the ice cream staff did have masks on correctly. I highly recommend paying...
