Very well kept, clean, and easily accessible from Rte 94 with ample parking - this amazing spot Mother Nature set aside in Hinckley Reservation's branch of the famed Cleveland Metroparks system is truly a gem to be admired and enjoyed by all ages! The grounds provide visitors with clean and updated modern facilities (see the grill and pavilion equipment provided for public use) but the wonder hardly rests with simply admiring the peaceful beauty around you - Miles of easy to moderate hiking paths and trails lead explorers at all levels up through these magnificent ledges - fantastic family outing, opportunities to strengthen personal endurance & health, birdwatch, identify the variety of species of both flora and fauna, as well as geological "wows" too numerous to mention be it through the eyes of a young child to the expert environmentalist - have fun sharing rock formations together, or noting tracks and treats left behind by creatures big & small - a true commune with nature to be enjoyed individually or connecting with friends, family, and fellow explorers-this has been a revered place to visit & return to many times over the years since my childhood and I invite you to create your own personal memories here as well - I love how respectful all visitors from all walks of life are of Whipps so we may enjoy for many years to come - park closes at dusk - but the spectacular sights in Ma Nature's show can be seen again and...

Read moreOne of my absolute favorite places in the world; quiet, yet vibrant woods with tons of hiking trails ranging from mild grade to suprisingly steep. You can climb around or walk between many of the Ledges, finding small caves and hidey holes dotted throughout. This place always makes me feel like a kid, jumping up on the rock Ledges and balancing on fallen tree trunks. I've been here countless times, solo, with friends, on a few dates, never had a bad visit or had anyone I've shown it to say anything other than "we should go back there." Like most places in Ohio, best time to go if possible is during the turn of the leaves in autumn. There's very few places I'd rather be than on the highest Ledges in October, feet dangling and watching the colors falling...
