My husband has had this trip planned for nearly a year now. It was Memorial day weekend and never did we expect the temp outside to drop below 50° and be raining! We refused to let that ruin our family trip. We layered up and set out to have fun on the trails. My husband has a newer model side by side(a general), his 2 friends with us had their own machine as well. Plus, my son and another friend were riding 4 wheelers. My husbands machine has a built in gps/map on the dash. We were counting on the map to guide us,( as maps do! ) Two of the other men had access to the map on their cell phone as well. Unfortunately, that was not the result at all!! We ran into atleast 5 locked gates blocking our route back to the camp. 5 to 6 times of turning around and back-tracking because the map showed roads that did not even exist. Because of the misleading maps, we wound up nearly 30 miles away from camp, in the freezing rain! The two 4 wheelers ran out of gas and had to be towed back by the side by sides. Which only caused our movement to become even slower! By the grace of God, we finally found our way back to camp 9+hours later, soaked to the bone, and starving! With as popular as this park is, the mapping system should be FAR better, or way cheaper atleast. Thankfully there was no one with us whom had any serious medical issues because had there been any type of emergency, the chances of getting anywhere to get help would be slim to none. My suggestion to anyone wishing to visit this ATV park...Do your research first regarding the trail maps. And be sure to prepare for ALL weather types. Or just pick another park instead. One with happy...
Read moreThis place is one of our favorite places to visit and unwind. It's such a beautiful place, the views and the scenery are absolutely breathtaking. They've got different levels of trails to ride. From beginners to pro expert riders. Each trail is labeled and you can ride for days. They've got camping sites, campers / RV setups, and even cabins that you can rent and stay in. The cabins are beautiful, inside and out, they're fully furnished with pretty much everything you could need, and they even have free Wi-Fi. They've got their own little kitchen, where you can cook or they've got grills outside if you'd rather barbecue. This is a place where you can bring your whole family. It's a very clean place, there's even a playground for all of the kiddos to play at. If you and your family loves being outdoors and enjoy riding, I'd definitely recommend that you all check this place out and give it a chance. You definitely...
Read moreNever again. My review is specifically for the campground, the riding was fine. We stayed for 3 nights in site D12. There were old rusty nails and screws all over our site and at least the neighboring sites. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting and unusable (toilets overflowing, toilet paper/trash on the floor, water not working, etc). We came back from riding on Saturday afternoon (5/17) and at some point during the day, the power at the campground went out. We were told the staff all left "because there was nothing they could do." While I understand they obviously can't get the power back on, someone being there to at least sell ice and maybe some other necessities sure would have been nice. Also worth mentioning, there are no picnic tables or fire rings. I did have service with Verizon, wifi was hit or miss. This was definitely the worst place I've ever stayed. Many...
