In May, I visited Smallest Church in America for the first time. It was really neat! I’d definitely go again, and I’d love to take others. Experiencing a worship service there would be really cool as well.
Luckily, this place is practically open 24 hours daily! All you have to do is walk in! There are cameras everywhere and notices reminding you that you are being watched! SMILE! You’re on camera!!! I didn’t mind that at all. I was just happy we were able to walk in!
I took these pictures so you could see the size of the church relative to our size. I’m 5’2″, which makes the church less than 10′ tall (not including the cross.)

Read moreWe stopped and enjoyed the “Smallest Church in America” conveniently located just of the I-95 interstate at 17 Coastal highway in Newport, GA 31331. This was an excellent find with the use of a GPS device or Google maps. It’s a very small church that can accommodate seating for 12 visitors, and also has church bell as well. There is plenty of parking and they can accommodate small and large vehicles. This was truly amazing and well worth a visit and a must do experience for travelers. I’m sure it's a tourist attraction, but it's very clear that they lady who built it had a mission to reach the lost people and to spread the word about the Gospel.
I’d highly recommend it to friends and family members who want a unique opportunity to enjoy this...
Read moreTook a scenic road trip from Philly to Central Florida and stumbled upon this on US 17 in Townsend GA. Church can seat about 12 people. Under the podium you can look through tons of old guestbooks from previous passers-by. Some signed just their names, some signed with beautiful prayers. There is a table inside where people leave dry goods and toiletries for those who may need to take them. Church was left unlocked for visitors, and brooms were placed by the door so people could give a little tidy-up on their way out. The place just had soul. It felt communal and respected and we really were glad we accidentally...
