This park has miles of paved trails that are great for walking a stroller around, biking, or even just walking. They border the Back River, and you can enjoy beautiful views and wildlife on your walk. The park used to have no leash requirement, which was good and bad for non-dog owners, since you always get a few bad apples with out of control mutts running loose. However, due to those apples, the park now requires dogs to be leashed. Much of the trails are shaded, making it the perfect place for a sunny day. I’m lucky enough to have this park within walking distance of my condo, and it’s one of the most underutilized parks in the area. There are both trails and paved paths, so it’s great for biking, walking, hiking and lots of other active activities. One thing to be aware of is that sometimes people walk the dogs off leash at this park. There is beautiful trees, you can see the marsh and walk all the way to the water or you can take another path and walk amongst the beautiful tree lined path. You can bring your dog, your baby or even your grandparents. Walk as little or as far as you like. It is beautiful all year long, there is a big world flower garden when you walk in during the spring/summer and in the fall all the foliage is beautiful.
