Old Mill Trail — Attraction in Hinsdale

Well maintained, decent parking, and the accessible portion is a great walk for families with young children. Even the portions after that aren't particularly difficult. There were enough interesting diversions to keep everybody interested, and there's enough scenery change to make for a relatively short, but interesting and varied walk. The Old Mill Trail is a perfect property that the Berkshire Natural Resources Council offers to the community. It is a fantastic place to visit and view nature. One sight along the trail is an abandoned vehicle, that is slowly being taken back by nature. The east branch of the Housatonic River runs alongside the trail, which is nice to see while walking by. I kind of enjoyed it the river does make for a good run or walk yes their is some history as you follow the trail. I didn't like when you get to the end of the road and think its finished. you cross over it continues go to marker 24 thats where it saids end of trail should be a sign once you cross the main road but you can see the small old mill...
