Well maintained, decent parking, and the accessible portion is a great walk for families with young children. Even the portions after that aren't particularly difficult. There were enough interesting diversions to keep everybody interested, and there's enough scenery change to make for a relatively short, but interesting and varied walk. One sight along the trail is an abandoned vehicle, that is slowly being taken back by nature. The east branch of the Housatonic River runs alongside the trail, which is nice to see while walking by.
