I really love to hang out at this place just to get away from everything. The park offers several walking trails from easy to a little more advanced and gorgeous scenic views! I really enjoy the bird watching hut where you can get a "birds eye view" of the different species of birds at their feeding station. I also enjoy the annual hawk watch's as well and how the volunteers try to keep tabs on how many raptors and birds they spot each migratory season. This is def a gem and a great place for kids and families too! I wish though that they would update the butterfly station and bring it back to life like they had it 10+ years ago, it was a great place for kids to see butterflies up close...
Read moreWe hiked 3 short trails which were well-maintained with numbered posts at every turn. The Succession and Hawk trails are excellent for bird watching especially from their bird blind. The Flood Plain trail highlight was hiking their wildflower meadow. At the entrance, there's a visitor center and full restrooms.
