Stoney Brook Vineyards and Winery — Attraction in Hollins

I LOVE SBV! I had been here several times as a normal customer (date days, book clubs, etc) and fell in love with the wines and the VIEWS. The facility is beautiful and the outdoor scenery is breathtaking - especially in the fall when the leaves are vibrant! It's a family-run business, which makes it event more meaningful to support. The first small event I had here was a birthday celebration in 2023 with about 20-25 people, and we just came during normal operating hours and grabbed a couple tables. I had called in advance and they were very accommodating. In 2024, I decided to rent the entire venue for a larger event, not during operating hours, and they were also very accommodating during that process. Throughout the entire planning process, I was able to communicate with Carrie and plan a great event. They have an event/banquet brochure that explains all they have to offer as an event venue, and the prices were very reasonable for renting the entire space. They also have a catering kitchen that my event caterer was able to utilize. By the end of the event, I'd met almost the entire SBV family and they were all so sweet and accommodating. I will say to have some patience with them when communicating about larger events, as I learned they all have normal 9 to 5 jobs on top of running this amazing vineyard, but they always responded to me within reasonable time! Convenient location for a beautiful little winery with great mountain views in the heart of Troutville. Really nice people, and they have some of the best local wines I've ever tried, and their sangria is a deliciously refreshing way to enjoy a hot day. I really enjoyed all of the different wines I sampled in my flight, and they are reasonably priced as well.

We visited when they first opened, and they have a great little set up with corn hole boards and plenty of space and seating (with shade). The bartender here is hilarious!! So friendly, gave several amazing recommendations. The vineyards was not providing tours when we went, but they had a ton of really well priced wines. It was crazy delicious. I have never been to such a charming venue. They have wedding here are well, it had a rustic but very elegant charm. A ton of space for a big wedding. We made friends with other people while we were there. I highly recommend stopping in, it’s a little off the beaten path, but well worth the drive.
