Absolutely beautiful park! We rode our horses about a 7 mile loop through various trails with water crossings, wood bridges, through cattle, and rolling hills. There were several gates along the trails that were difficult to open and close on horseback. Some of the trails were definitely more rigorous than others and there was no one there to ask questions or give recommendations unfortunately. The whole park isn't signed very well so it's a little hard to navigate the first time, however the trails are clearly marked once you get going. There were only two groups there hiking that we saw the whole time we were there, very quiet and private. Horse trough on site and really clean bathrooms too! A definite must for...

Read moreIt was a really nice place to visit for the first time. We started out by dinosaur point and met the park ranger there when parking. Luckily they had change for a $20 for the $10 parking fee for all day. Not much to do here except a boat launch area and some bathrooms. We then went to a different part of the park and they had the hiking trails and paths we were looking for. I do recommend that you use the bathroom before in the parking area because there is no other places to use it. The hike can be pretty tough with a stroller and 6 year old. We made it to Pig Pond. Watch out for Rattle snakes in the summer if...
