Marshall County Historical Museum — Attraction in Holly Springs

I stopped by this afternoon while visiting from Boston. I will say that I was very pleased and entertained from the information provided by and wonderful conversations had with Jim. This area of Mississippi is completely enshrined in rich history of local, regional, and international significance on a scale I did not before realize.

We LOVED our visit to this place! First, it's a beautiful old building that has a wonderful history of its own. Secondly, it is chocked full of so many antiques! Furniture, local memorabilia, relics, vintage clothes, portraits, turn of the century quilts, vintage jewelry and items from every war in which the United States was engaged, especially the Civil War. My wife and I visited in July, from out of state. The museum is old school, and we found it very interesting and enjoyable. The highlight was our conversation with the very friendly people who work there. They gave us additional info and anecdotes about Holly Springs, and even stayed a bit past closing to ensure that we saw everything!
