Kiosk at beginning needs some attention, fading, no maps, etc. Red trail to blue trail needs attention, rotten trees across trail, limb debris all over trail. Blue trail best but tractor stored under shed needs to be put to work mowing grass in lots of areas, I would hate to get bitten by a copperhead & need medical assistance. My last concern is resting benches along trail not just at end of boardwalk, I am 72, my wife is 65. We visit lots of WMA lands & Dungannon was good but just needs a little maintenance. Thanks for providing...

Easy to walk with a nice wide trail. There are a few trails, slightly less easy, which run off the main trail. The main trail is about 5 miles out and back. There are no facilities. I've never seen more than one or two people there at a time. It is very peaceful and quiet. There's a swamp towards the back of the property with an alligator warning, but I've never seen one. One area of the swamp is designated as a breeding habitat for the beautiful endangered wood storks. It is closed in the spring, the storks...

Wide, well maintained trails through forest and swamp. The trails are in and out, rather than a loop, so don't let the short listed length fool you! The first half of the main trail had a lot of road noise and edges along the property lines of some run-down houses, and was pretty unremarkable. The second half was much better with levees through the marsh and deeper into the woods. Note that there is a small parking lot with no bathroom...

Absolutely phenomenal for bird watching seen everything from three kinds of sparrows, finches, woodpeckers waterfowl flock of wild turkeys deer. Binoculars a must the swamp logging Trail is absolutely the most peaceful and profound. The wood stork Trail is nice. Found the trails to be well marked. And Boundary markers marked if you pay attention. My added bonus was finding that old grave from 1859 out here.

Took my mom for an early Mother's day walk. Very clean, wide open, easy to follow trails through forest and swamp. Beautiful swamp with plenty of gators, egrets, herons, and other wildlife. Trails are easy to walk, and the ample shade keeps the temperature cool. We weren't able to go on the boardwalk due to wood stork nesting season.
