Sam S Accursio Farms & Well — Attraction in Homestead

BEWARE: I bought a watermelon from Whole Foods with a sticker saying it’s FROM THIS FARM. It is definitely injected with the artificial dye some farmers started using. If you use a white plastic spoon it’ll eventually discolor after a while OR you can use a cotton ball to dab the surface and see that it contains dye not fresh light pink watermelon juice. It will stain the cotton ball. Either method works. First time I ate one unaware I got a horrible headache (which never happens to me) so please know this dye is artifical, controversial, and who knows what farming methods are being used if they’re injecting their fresh produce with...

We stayed at the Farm with Harvest Host. Sam and Tony were super friendly and wonderful to deal with. The farm and market area were super clean and well taken care of with lots of yummy produce.

We got in late and we’re heading out the next day and the market was going to be closed. We ordered on line and the box of goodies were left at our trailer.

The vegetables were all so fresh and healthy looking. We recommend you come by if you are in the area. Check ahead to see when the market is open.
