Although the beach is nice in the sense that you have sand, picnic tables, bathrooms and lots of water, there is the downside that the particular area catches some dark matter that builds up on the sand on the beach. If you dig down you notice how the sand is filtering the water and the colour goes from a dark gray to a lighter gray then to the original colour of the sand. Not sure what’s in the water but if you are there for the sand and sun, then enjoy. Just stay out of the water 😁. 2/20/23 Update Stopped by once again for some Beach Time! We dug in the sand and my boy had me bury him. The sand still has that dark layer but oh well. Then the kids begged me to go in the water and play with them. I succumbed to their cries and ended up in the water. It was a little chilly but felt good. It was partly cloudy and it appeared we were having a great day but little did we know that the sun was burning silently. The next day we got the burn. Loved it! 🥰😁. Enjoy your time while you can these days. We never know when...

This is a nice spot to watch sunset. If you come here near dawn or dusk, the no-see-ums can be brutal. 😬 I highly recommend bug spray. The park rules say dogs are NOT allowed on the beach. That said, every time I come here, I see unleashed dogs on the beach. ↪️ It's often very busy here.

October '23 - Both of the fishing piers and the boardwalk are closed due to damage from Hurricane Idalia🌀The boat ramp is also closed. NO trespassing signs are posted.

Amenities include ↪️ Pavilions with picnic tables - some with grills ↪️ Clean restrooms 🚻 ↪️ Outside showers...

We, absolutely love this beach! It is a small local beach you don't have to walk a mile to access. There are trash cans and port-a-potty's available. We felt comfortable letting our two 6-year-olds venture out on their own. Mind you our 13-year-old could walk, all the way to the buoy string. It was not crowded everyone was having fun and groups were socializing with others. We will, definitely be back when in the area. We were going to stay longer but as soon as I saw lightning it...
