What a FUN and educational experience! To be honest, I was initially torn about spending money towards a "dolphin experience" but after speaking with the employees of Dolphin Quest and having the chance to observe the dolphins and their trainers, I went for it and I'm so glad I did!

My first interaction with Dolphin Quest was with a friendly and very helpful guy named Ben! He was patient and extremely informative with all of the questions I presented him with -- ranging from questions about the dolphins and how they are cared for, to safety protocols due to COVID19, to the different programs available, etc. I ended up going with the "Dolphin Encounter" program option and this allowed for 25 minutes of interaction with the dolphins. (Thank you, Ben!)

Our experience was AWESOME. We were paired up with one of the trainer's -- and her terrific energy definitely added to the adventure! (Thanks, Alexa!) The dolphin we were lucky enough to interact with was named Lono and WOW - what a majestic creature. The 25 minutes were spent in the water (above and below) and Alexa provided several different opportunities for us to interact with and learn more about Lono. She was also extremely informative and her love for these animals was crystal clear.

This was a terrific experience and if you are looking for an up close and personal encounter - Dolphin Quest Oahu won't disappoint. Additionally, it's beyond clear that they care deeply about the dolphins they work with on a daily basis, and they are eager to share their knowledge. Thanks again,...

My cousin and I had such an amazing experience.. We had to opportunity to stay at The Kahala, the Kahala is where this Dolphin Quest is located.. While we were there we were able to observe the dolphins 24/7 and watch the trainers from start to finish… when on the “off” times. I have to say that the individuals that work with these dolphins truly love and respect the animals. The dolphins love the guests staying at the resort and love the Dolphin Quest employees. It is evident how happy the dolphins are.. We paid for the Experience and it is 100% worth the money.. We were able to interact and touch the dolphins.. Our trainer was Sara and she was so knowledgeable and you could tell how much Lono the dolphin loved her. I loved the fact that we were taught hand signals and sounds to interact with the dolphins.. After our encounter and late at night we were able to sit out on our lanai and interact with them using the tools Sara taught us.. Tara the photographer did an excellent job getting the perfect shot with our boy Lono.. One of the best experiences we have ever had. I personally enjoyed that during the day when the trainers were not with customers they were constantly cleaning the enclosure and playing with the animals.. I was also able to go down to the booth and chat with the employees and learn so much more.. I would give them 100 stars ⭐️ if possible. Great people and great program. Thank you all! We will be back.. Jessica and...

We did the dolphin adventure, and it was a fantastic experience. It was really neat to sit down with the trainers and learn about the dolphins and their training first before getting in the water with them. I love that Dolphin Quest is run by trainers and veterinarians. I also love that they let the dolphins decide what they want to do or not do with the various activities. The dolphins were so well trained, and you could tell they trusted their trainers with the people they brought into the water with them. It was amazing to be out in the lagoon and have the dolphin come swim up to us and then allow us to swim beside it. It was also very neat to learn about them more up close and be able to touch and feed them. The dolphins were fun and loved to show off their tricks and play games with us. The trainers were all personable and got to know us as a family which made the experience more special. I highly recommend this experience; it was a highlight of our trip. The whole experience was well done from start to finish. It was a high-quality experience. The pictures we got were excellent and captured the joy we had during our adventure. They will be something we can keep forever to...

Very cool but $$$. We really enjoyed this experience. Based within the Kahala Resort this dolphin swim experience was pretty special. The trainers take you for some face to face time with 1-2 of the dolphins at the premises where they show you some of the natural behaviours and trained ones. You get to feel the animals and give them some instructions for tricks which was pretty cool. Only had 2 downsides in my opinion. I feel like the location they are kept in is still pretty small for 6 animals and it didn’t fully sit well with me supporting this. They did look like they were well cared for so I could be wrong. The big negative for me was the pricing for photos. If you have a family member they can take some photos for you from outside the water. The staff at the premises take photos and you have the option to purchase these at the end of the experience but they are not cheap. We went for 3 of the photos and ended up paying around 80 USD from memory I feel that’s pretty steep. For the price of the experience you should be given at least 1 photo per person to take away. With an option for the extra photos but fairly priced.

Overpriced for the experience. Over $1,500 for a family of five. Most of the time is spent setting up individual pictures which they sell you at the end. Two pictures is $55 or you can get them all for $150 so for a family of five we had to spend the extra $150 (plus tax) to get all of them. We ended up spending over $1,700 to sit in a small lagoon with a dolphin for about 25 minutes. They assign one dolphin for each group of six people. They added an individual to our group which seemed to diminish our value since he got equal time. The kids had a good time and liked petting the dolphin but all said they wouldn't do it again because they enjoyed some of the other activities (like zip lining) more. Technically you do swim with the dolphin because they send you to one end of the lagoon and have the dolphin swim next to you on the way back. The staff was friendly and I'm sure it's not a cheap business to run but in my opinion it wasn't worth the price. The lagoons were viewable to guests so I guess you can get a free look at the dolphins just by visiting the hotel.
