Very bad service. That lady Bridgette That handles parties, shouldn’t be in the “position” she’s in if she’s gets “frustrated” fast and can’t deal with her customers the right way! Make sure y’all get every information and make sure it’s correct. My sons first birthday party is in December and only now October she tells me that I need a event coordinator which she dosen’t know the difference between an “event coordinator” and a “event planner” what “professional” person yells at their customer on the phone because she’s “frustrated” and have been dealing with me for 3 months! Um women isn’t that your “job?” Isn’t it your job to work with “customers” who inquier about your party area?! i was all for having his party there but not after the other day!! She can go on with her rude frustrated self! Now I know why you have bad reviews!! You vented to us about your bad review and made like it was the persons fault! Walk to the very back of the garden and across the stream you will find a place with mango trees , Indian Almond trees that grow interesting woody pods and cute flowers, Peacock flowers, Hibiscus, West Indian Jasmine, Puff flowers, Plumeria, and quite a few introduced bird species. In hot summer, you may firstly smell over-ripening sweetness before noticing the fallen ripe mangoes all over the ground.

Read moreMoanalua Gardens is beautiful - lots of open space (lawn/grass) and some gorgeous trees including a HUGE monkey pod tree. Flowers, not so much. There are several interesting buildings including a Japanese tea house, and King Kamehameha V's summer cottage and a very ornate 1903 Chinese Hall. There is a koi pond, and lots of water fowl that are very comfortable around humans, but they don't bite (at least they didn't bite me). It is very open and though there were a few busloads of tourists while we were there, we wandered around without any problems - never felt crowded.
There was also a major woodshow there when we were there that was interesting and had some really nice wood art.
There's not a lot to do or see, and admission isn't much either ($1 for military).
It really is worth a visit, but the kids will hate you if you're taking them away from the beach...
