Mt. Hood is a must-visit gem in Oregon! Just an hour’s drive from Portland, this towering 11,249-foot dormant volcano offers spectacular views. We stayed at the Timberline Lodge, which gave us easy access to take in the incredible scenery around the summit without needing to be climbers ourselves.
The sunrises and moonrises over Mt. Hood were absolutely breathtaking, especially with a light dusting of first snow during our stay.
