Longmeadow Farm was exactly what we wanted for an afternoon of apple picking. Fifteen minutes there, and I had already announced to my husband that we need to come back again. Longmeadow is a beautiful place – serene, quiet, well kept, and FULL of apples. As soon as we got there, we were greeted by a staff member who gave us a booklet listing all the apple varieties, when they ripen, and a helpful summary about the consistency, taste, and common uses for each type. You may think that was more information than you needed to know before picking apples, but we referenced that booklet countless times. Each row in the orchard is clearly marked with the apple variety growing, and the rows are huge. After we filled our barrel with different apples, we decided to check out their pumpkins. Long meadow has an actual pumpkin patch - not just a group of pumpkins carted in and placed on the dirt. I had no idea how bright and vibrant pumpkins could look while they're attached to the vine. To get to the pumpkin patch, you take a hayride through the woods. They had the place decked out for Halloween with skeletons, ghosts and creepy creatures haunting the trail, and it was a fun addition to what we thought was simply a means of transportation to the next field. (The pumpkin patch is HUGE. ) Having collected our apples and pumpkins, we also stopped at the farm stand to pick up some fresh vegetables, and take a look at the selection of jams and preserves they had. My husband also picked up some chestnuts to roast, and we got some helpful tips from the staff on how to best prepare them. All in all, it was a fantastic time. Beautiful place, super friendly staff members, great pick-your-own pumpkins / pick your own apples (DELICIOUS apples) and an excellent way to spend a fall day. We're looking forward to visiting again!

Beautiful Farm and friendly people! Love the fields of flowers you can pick and the many variety of apples. I have found a new favorite of apple there I’ve never heard of called The Northern Spy! Ended up getting two bushels full of apples, some pumpkins, a bouquet of flowers, some fresh corn, and their own honey! Dog friendly too, the owner came out and gave our puppy some lovings and a dog treat! We will all definitely be back year after year!

Went apple picking with my grandson. They have a large selection of trees. They give a booklet of their fruit and what they are good for (baking …). The apples are delicious and made great pies. They have a table with fresh vegetables and local honey. The book lets you know what fruits they have and their season. They also have a field with sunflowers, zinnias for picking and purchasing. There is also a pumpkin patch. Definitely will return.

we like this place better than other apple picking places like wightman's farm (where they charge you to "join the apple picking club" before u can pick apples) or hillview farms, where u have to pay to ride the wagon.

longmeadow has excellent apples; lots of varieties. you can also pick your own pumpkin here. and they have pick your own raspberries, which is especially a treat in the fall -- although the berries are small and it takes a while to fill a carton.

they have a corn maze too.

but they don't...
