I am permanent here & my family loves it (I have camped here my entire life, as has my dad so 3 generations); Paved roads, bathrooms/showers are almost always clean (you'll have some issues during the holidays but always promptly taken care of), pool is very nice & large, that being said it is usually pretty cold (great when it's really hot though), playground area in the park is great for kids (large play area & swings as well) very nice tennis/ basketball courts, offers a volleyball court & baseball diamond too as well as horseshoe pits, frisbee golf course, Wi-Fi but (Wi-Fi is BrightNet which is locally owned & operated in Bascom, Ohio & is absolutely HORRIBLE; it is slow.... & if you try to purchase your own plan through them it is incredibly expensive for very bad speeds; no other providers are "allowed" @ the park either which is complete B.S.) Now back to the good again; creek for fishing or feeding the ducks, & many shelter houses with charcoal grilling units. I.C. Treats is right down the entrance & is great for a snack, they also sell duck feed. The Ballroom is available to rent for wedding or other occasions & is beautiful. (Ballroom is always booked i believe a year or so in advance.) Just really a nice great place with friendly people. My only issue is the lack of activities offered by the park itself, though a group of campers themselves have been organizing activities for the holiday weekends, the campground also hosts Bascoms Firemen's Festival & a Blues Festival too. Overall I would rate this an A-....that being said if golf carts were permitted & Wi-Fi that was even decent it'd be an A+ hands down. Still the nicest around anyways. Only downside is the Wi-Fi so even though they claim they have free Wi-Fi which they do, good luck trying to get it to work, especially on a busy weekend like a holiday weekend. So to sum it up great, clean campground that i would recommend to any with just...
Read moreWe spent a week in the campground in our 5th wheel. The park itself is a hidden gem for the area!! Lots of play areas, shelters, bocce, giant chess, shuffle board, disc golf, tennis court, volleyball, hiking trails, etc. ….literally something for everyone! Seasonal sites are in the shade & have FHU. The rest of us bake in the sun & the layout is a bit wonky for bigger rigs. Our site was rear to rear with our neighbors with about a foot of space between our rigs. 50 amp & water with dump site for non-seasonal. Also their weekly rate is 6 nights instead of 7 like most other places. It would be helpful if they did do some tree trimming in the seasonal area as many trees brushed the top & sides of our rig on our way to the dump station. All in all, it is a...
Read moreThe park, campsites and pool are super nice. The staff are friendly and helpful Everything from the shelters, playgrounds, baby pool, large pool and grounds are so well maintained and taken care of. The shelters are very nice and offer electric and water so they are a great place to hold a reunion, grad party or anything else you might want to have. The small town of Bascom is quiet and nice. There is a Walmart only a couple of miles up the road if you need anything. There is a little restaurant at the opening of the park that serves food and ice cream. They only have tables outside to sit on but the food is good and trying to pick an ice cream treat is hard because they have so many options. Meadowbrook park is a great place to spend the day...
