A fun visit for anyone in the area with kids or a love for walking trails. Of course, it has the infamous floating dock, but there's also a ton of other walking trails with trashcans, the occasional bench, and beautiful views of the water.
Has multiple playgrounds -- your average playground in front of the parking lot, as well as a cute bug/mushroom-themed one at the beginning of the walking trails right behind the other playground.
There's also usually an ice cream truck that comes rolling down the parking lot.
There are also gazebos and spacious plots of grass that I personally enjoy having little picnics at.
Apparently a good spot for fishing, I tend to see a lot of people out here with fishing poles, if that floats your boat.
As far as bathrooms go, the only ones I've seen are portapotties by the bug/mushroom playground. Definitely pee before you get here.
Plenty of parking available in multiple different lots.
Definitely worth a visit, one of the best parks in the Chester/Enon...

We went on a weekday so it was pretty empty, but this park is obviously well loved. There were some parts that were quite worn, but as we were there some workers came to fix them. So not only does the community love this park, but the county takes good care of it.
I thought it was worth mentioning even though I didn't use it, there's an outdoor gym here. I thought that was...
Read moreUnexpected gem in Chesterfield. I've lived here long enough and in several different places to say I'm being honest when I say "Chesterfield sucks". Compared to other places I've lived this place simply sucks HOWEVER I was pleasantly surprised when my husband, my kids and I stumbled upon this park one day when we were picking random "green areas" on Google maps. At first it seemed like any other park with a walking trail but then we saw the floating board walk from a lookout. If Chesterfield would have more places like this and teach their residents how to drive and be friendly, maybe Chesterfield wouldn't be...
