✨Hidden Gem Near Boston: College Rock – A Climber’s Playground! 🧗♂️⛰️

This is an excellent spot that connects to a larger through trail network. It appears hidden in plain sight or not very well known or foot trafficked. The college rock itself is highly legit and close to the front. With the underlying and outlying rock trails around it, and the rock itself, there are seemingly endless variations and paths you can take for next workout all within a tight radius the rock, or play it calm and meditative on a full rest or active day which was more my purpose in passing through.

Amazing crag just about an hour outside if boston. I know of one small boulder in the immediate area but, i know there are a few more scattered around the forest. The main wall is a 40 ft tall wall that is probably at least 1000ft long. there are many mellow clinbs that use the cliffs larges splitting cracks. There are also a number of more itermidiate climbs using small finger cracks or pockets on the walls...

I climbed that rock just about every day until I was ten and we moved away, in 1960. My dad donated it to the town of Hopkinton. Who knew it would become a mecca for climbers! I'm glad it turned out this way. Haven't been back in many years. I hope the brook is still running. We used to make forts and tree huts in...
