Fontana. Hilton. Shelter. Make sure ya hit this one, the views are better than half the hotels you pay $100 for. North side of the Smoky Mountains ain’t got NOTHIN’ on the South side, just you wait. #appalachiantrail #nationalpark #greatsmokymountains #tennessee #thruhike #Outdoors #adventure #outdooradventure #solotravel #sologirltravel #backpacking #Hiking #camping #outdoorwomen #osprey #rei #fontanadam #CapCut

A little confusing to find the trail. No signs at parking area and there are two trails, one on each side of the parking area. Trail for Mills Ridge does not begin until about a half mile walk on a logging road. Still no signs. Trail markers on trail but if you are not sure where to go, it's a little frustrating. Very pretty but our hike was cut short because it started snowing! Will definitely research the area and then return!

Not sure if im supposed to review a specific part or the entire 2100 mile stretch, but so far my 300 mile experience has been awesome. It really is giving my live value on an existential level. This is what i needed right now and for anyone else who is feeling metaphorically lost, i recommend coming out into these woods to get literally lost and spritually found. Hikers are great people- for the most part.

Great hike! Challenging in the heat of a July afternoon. The views were worth every second of this beautiful hike. Trail was very well maintained. The trail has 3 short, but very steep sections. Do not get caught without enough water. The grating at the firetower made staying up there a little unsettling, but the views were...
