Wegner Mine — Attraction in Hot Springs

This place has me mixed. This was our first crystal experience. We went with tailing because I had 3 kids with me. I didn't want to pay 3x the price to go to the mine to dig. Also, most of the stuff in the shop looked to say made in China. The sluice is a joke. It's a small pail of dirt with prefilled stones. You take it to the sluice and the sand goes away is a matter of a second. The seconds pile was full of tiny crystals. It was a good place where if you have kids it is hard to get hurt and easy to watch kids. We went to another mine in the same day down there road and it was more work but...
