Lookout Louise is by far one of the most scenic outlooks I have seen here in Isle Royale. It offers an incredible view of the entire Duncan Bay area, even offering views all the way out to Sleeping Giant in Canada! To get to the lookout, it's a fairly easy 1 mile hike up from the Hidden Lake dock (at least this is the route I've taken) and it is well worth the journey. If you are planning to venture out here and are not bringing your own boat or watercraft, the Rock Harbor Lodge Marina does do canoe and kayak rentals in this area! Overall, a marvelous spot to visit

I don't now why there's some 1 stars on here but the hike up to lookout louie was perfect and not very difficult though a little steep at times, we had to take a canoe to the easiest access-point, you could have hiked from mount franklin for 5.2 miles or so also... but we saw a beaver dam and many beautiful flowers, and once on top of lookout louie you can see for miles, we could even make out the edge of Thunder Bay in Canada!

Beautiful, perfect and majestic place to visit and explore. Great fishing, so much wildlife...the sunsets are incredible. A little expensive to get there (we're from Michigan), but well worth it. Did I mention the fishing?? Walleye, Northerns, Smallies...bring your fishin' poles!!
