Rock Harbor Lighthouse — Attraction in Houghton Township

I got engaged there because its a historically significant spot for Ojibwa/Chippewa. That spot had lots of copper culture(s) activity and supernatural lore. Its where the Guardian of the Isle watches. His shattered scepter is the thousands of Greenstones scattered everywhere under the waterline. You can still see the outline of his face right to the left of the lighthouse. He sits sphinx-like watching over the Middle Island Passage like he's done for thousands of years. ...

The Rock Harbor Lighthouse is a lovely historic stop if you happen to be in the area. While you cannot climb to the top of the tower anymore, the building is equipped with a small museum discussing the boating history of the entire park, most notable the shipwrecks.
