Greenwood Gator Farm & Tours — Attraction in Houma

Even though I grew up here, I've never been until recently when my sister, brother-in-law, and 5yr old niece came down for a visit. My niece would not stop talking about holding a Gator. We had a great time learning about what the gator farm was all about, holding an alligator, and seeing and feeding a bunch of other animals! If you're looking for an animal kid friendly place to go to entertain little ones obsessed with animals this is a great place to go. There was even other out of town-ers from out of state that asked a bunch of questions about the alligators and purposes of the farm in relation to our ecosystems down here. We scheduled a boat tour early that week. Drive from Denham springs to find out there isnt a boat tour due to boat was down. But Junior came to the rescue and we had the Air Boat tour with Junior. It was truly amazing. We went into places of the swamp you would never see by boat. Junior brought us to places only the alligators are brave enough to sleep in.. Surprisingly there was a house in the swamp. Ppl really live in it. Met a few friends and sat back and enjoyed the wild life. Seen some pretty big alligators. Dishonest and immoral business. I purchased their tour boat through POP Yachts. I requested in writing and they agreed in writing to grease the trailer bearing prior to closing. Only 100 miles down the road one of the wheels fell off. The mechanic testified that no new grease was added to the bearings and provided us with photographic evidence. Seller is in breach of contract and refuses to pay the bill and return any phone calls. They are lucky the driver and others were not killed on the highway.
