YOU MUST HAVE A "K" STICKER TO COME HERE, otherwise you will be towed. This is for Kingwood residents only. That being said this is such a beautiful park. You can walk the trails, or jog. You have a beautiful open field to the right as soon as you enter for yourself or your kids to sit, and have a picnic. There is so much space to explore, and you can actually reach the water if you go far enough. This is a popular place for pictures for Kingwood photographers, but they've gotten very strick about that. As too many people are coming to this area to snap photos. So beware you might be lucky enough to not get towed, but they're not afraid to tow so just know there's that's possibility. I love this park, and enjoy it everytime I...

There are otters, alligators, birds, occasional ducks and geese, and plenty of other wildlife, so we enjoy taking our kids here and seeing what we can find and teaching them about it all. We've found a young broad banded water snake before (non-venomous) with vibrant colors, a group of ribbon snakes (also non-venomous) feeding and mating, seen turtles digging and laying nests of eggs, in addition to all the animals listed at the beginning of this review. We also like biking the trails.

It also happens to be a good location for anyone who plays Pokemon Go, Harry Potter: Wizards...

My favorite get away. Can easily walk 5+ miles of trail... Bring a dog, bring a friend. Benches intermittent throughout. Some trash bins and doggie doo bags available. Various types of scenery and footpaths (wooden planks, grass, beach sand, hard packed dirt). Restrooms not available. Parking tag not required. Easy access to Kingwood Greenway Trails. Bring water, insect repellent and sunscreen. Majority of trail is in the shade. Have seen alligators and water moccasins near the trail....

East End Park is a peaceful little retreat where deer graze quietly near the trail and wildflowers add splashes of color along the way. You never actually cross the lake— it simply drifts alongside the path now and then, offering tranquil water views through the trees. Sturdy footbridges carry you over soggy low spots rather than the lake itself, though a couple could use some TLC. After rain the trail turns muddy, but the shady canopy, blooms, and wildlife make the mess worthwhile.

It's pretty flooded lately. It's not too bad, just limits the trails you can walk on. It's a nice park, especially in the morning. I like running here and doing yoga when it's not too hot.)) Oh and please don't forget to ALWAYS apply mosquito spray. You can't see them, you can't hear them, but when you come back home you'll see multiple bites all over your body, so be prepared. The only thing might be a problem for some, there's no toilet.
