LakeView Park — Attraction in Houston

Nice park. The arrangements for parking vehicles nearby is unusual but street parking is available. Lots of people park on the curb (pull up onto it, there is an exposed area) just across the street. This is acceptable and legal and a good tip when visiting. The park itself is very nice with ample seating, water views, green areas and water ways. There is not as much shade as you'd expect but this is still a great place to go and relax or even work for breif periods on a laptop. There is no nearby power or WiFi so make sure you are mobile if you want to...

This park is obviously by the lake, .. and it's great for photography.in fact my wife is a professional photographer was testing out a few new Nikon lenses. While she was snapping pictures of the birds across the lake, there were 3 other photo shoots going on at the same time. It's a wonderful place because the lake and trees make a perfect background for photography. I'm sure you could manage to have a picnic at the many tables around the park. It is a very nice park to hang out and enjoy a stroll along the lake. There's a well-made dock that is the perfect spot to wet a line. My grandson and I tossed a couple of lines out to see if we could entice any bites and we managed to land a couple of channel cats.
