The Howey Mansion was everything we wanted for our wedding and MORE. My husband and I were engaged in January of 2020, so right before COVID changed everything. Originally, we wanted a small family wedding and wanted to take a trip to Italy where my family is from. Unfortunately, with COVID putting a halt to travel plans, we quickly realized that wouldn’t be possible and that we’d need a venue here to accommodate more family/friends than intended. After some research, my mother found the Howey Mansion and we instantly fell in love with the photos. We scheduled a tour and it was our first and only stop on the wedding venue search. As soon as we pulled up, we knew we wanted to get married there. Lori and the staff were always so attentive and answered all of my (many) questions and (many) emails. As we approached the wedding it seemed like I was emailing more than twice a day, and they were always quick to respond and informative. Arthur’s catering was an absolute joy to have with the venue and the food was so delicious!! There were options for everyone and the hors d'oeuvres were so fun!! We received so many compliments on how good the food was. I was lucky enough to get to try both entrees and I must say, the chicken was the best chicken I’ve ever had. We got the package that granted us access to the mansion at 11 am and it was so incredibly worth it. The vendors had more than enough time to set up and allowed both bridal parties and parents to get ready with ease. I also enjoyed seeing everything come together throughout the day! This same package also included access to the prohibition room for the last two hours of the event and it was such a hit with our guests! It’s definitely one of the most unique features I’ve ever seen at a wedding and everyone really enjoyed it. The mansion is so beautiful that there are so many areas for our guests to explore which I really loved. It’s hard to put into words how unique the venue is, especially for a wedding. We also opted to have the wedding party spend the night in the mansion and the two guest cottages and it was SO MUCH FUN. We kept the fun going and were well taken care of with accommodations such as towels, toiletries and more than enough beds for 18+ people. Fran was so helpful with getting all of the overnight guests to their rooms and with checking out in the morning. She had some great history stories about the mansion as well. All this to say that our wedding day was even more perfect than we could have ever envisioned. We had a beautiful Mediterranean theme as we wanted but also got to celebrate with all of our friends and family in a beautiful ceremony, at a gorgeous venue with incredible food and drinks! We’ve had so many of our guests tell us that it was the best and most beautiful wedding they’d ever been to and even some family who have already looked into renting the venue out for other events. I’m almost in tears as I write this because of how perfect and dream-like our day was. I’m so sad that it’s over but the memories made at the mansion are ones that my new husband and I will cherish for the rest of our lives!

When my husband and I were looking at wedding venues for our ceremony and reception, none of them were the best fit for our vision and budget. We were looking for something historic, elegant, and regal; yet all we seemed to come across were rustic barns, bland ballrooms, or smaller homes. Not only did they not fit our whimsical romantic theme, but they were also outside of our budget and would require additional table/chair/cutlery rentals. It seemed hopeless until we came across a listing for the Howey Mansion. We were taken aback by how gorgeous the estate was and its history. The next weekend we completed a tour and knew we had found our dream wedding venue. For our wedding day, we purchased the Mrs. Mary Howey Package which included 2 hours of time in the bride/groom suites prior to the ceremony, 6 hours of actual event time, mahogany chiavari chairs, round banquet tables, cocktail tables and smaller tables if needed for unity candle lighting/sand ceremony, floor length linens, water station, onsite parking attendant, cake cutting, and so much more. We had access to the entire mansion and were able to rent the cottage on-site for the night before and night of the wedding as our honeymoon suite. Even our wedding planner was shocked at how much was included for such a low fee. The Howey Mansion works exclusively with Arthur’s Catering to cater their events and I can honestly say that was a match made in heaven. The food was superb and all of the necessary dinner items were included with our Arthur’s package as well such as plates, glassware, cutlery, etc. Our contact from the Mansion, Lori, was the same as our contact from Arthur’s so she was aware of all of the necessary details for our special day venue and catering-wise. The day of our wedding came and everything went according to schedule. The venue was able to coordinate well with my wedding planner and other vendors during the set-up portion of the day. While we were supposed to have an outdoor wedding, we were blessed with rain, so the venue was very accommodating on moving the ceremony inside. When my guests arrived, they were stunned at the beauty and regal nature of the Mansion. Very little decor, other than florals and candles, were necessary since the Mansion itself is so rich in design. Having our wedding at the Howey Mansion brought our fairytale wedding to life and we couldn’t be more thankful to the staff and owners!

Attended the Christmas tea today as gifts to some family members visiting from out of town. Harp player was outstanding and decorations beautiful. However, they offered Bigelow and Lipton tea bags spread on the table and they ran out of them after the first cup of tea and was told they needed to save some for the next function but that we could take some from other tables that might have them. The food was extremely disappointing. Nothing was labeled as far as what the finger sandwiches were and they ran out of those as well. The bakery items were clearly from a Costco like place. In the Facebook advertisement for this the way it is worded sounded like the food would be on each table and there were no scones as written as well. They did not plan well to feed the amount of people that attended and for the price paid was not for the quality of food expected at an establishment of this caliber. Being generous with 3 stars. Will not recommend or be back.

We enjoyed celebrating our daughter’s wedding this past weekend, 3/16. The actual day of went off very well. I’m not saying perfect, however, it was as close to perfect as possible. Fran runs a tight orderly ship where the staff of the mansion are kind professionals and know what their responsibilities are for the event. This is definitely a place to have a fun classy event. Keep in mind, this venue is a museum first and a venue second. Be prepared for some additional rules you and your vendors will be asked to follow that you may not have at some other venues. They are common sense rules like don’t jump on the furniture or be aware of your drink while standing on the rug that.costs thousands of dollars. The mansion can’t exactly run to the store and replace a period piece. If we had to choose again, we’d definitely choose to have our event here. <Arthur’s Catering is a separate vendor to the mansion.>

I had the pleasure of coordinating a wedding at The Howey Mansion over Memorial Day Weekend and it was truly one of the smoothest weddings I've done. Fran was so helpful and her team was there to help me with whatever I needed. The venue is absolutely stunning, so many areas for photo ops. This particular weekend was extremely hot, but the venue has an awesome AC unit, the inside never got hot despite the doors constantly being opened and closed. As a planner, I felt so prepared going into the wedding because of how organized Fran was leading up to it. The Howey Mansion team is extremely thorough with all the vendors and leaving no room for confusion. I can't recommend this venue enough and hope to have the opportunity to coordinate here again in the future!

So, a beautiful venue managed by one of the most rude and unappreciative ladies I have ever met. Wow, and we spent how much money here? I could go on and on but before and after our daughters wedding, the staff (not all) but many were incredibly rude. I think they need to look up “Hospitality” to see what it’s really supposed to be about. Some businesses make SO much money, they don’t need to care about customer service. My comments are not in regard to the caterer or event planner. But the facility people and in fact a few employees afterward. And no, we did not provoke anyone. Be careful in your booking here. That’s all. There are many choices out there. Find someone who actually appreciates you as a customer.
