The park is a great place to have fun with family and friends, however, I rate it three stars due to the major issues that follow.
Roads
They are in bad shape once you pass the houses and enter into the actual park. Very bumpy and rough to drive on even at a slow speed. Major resurfacing is required ASAP
Band Shell
Needs a complete renovation or rebuild. Birds and other animals are making homes in the rafters causing major disturbance for bands to perform in. The floor boards are uneven which will eventually cause a safety Hazzard. No access to the stage for those with disabilities or heavy band equipment. A ramp should be installed where the steps are. Install screens under the rafters to prevent wild life making homes. Front stage lights need a major upgrade. Back stage lights are fine. Back wall has holes In various places that need major attention. The ground can be seen from the actual stage floor at the far back by the long wall. I'd say the whole band stand needs torn down and rebuilt stronger and...
Read moreIt's mostly clean. You'll run into the occasional dog poop pile that someone forgot to clean up. That is less dangerous than the dogs that owners refuse to leash because they're so friendly. It's not an issue at night but daytime, stay away.
Playground is well lit at night.
Now on to the topic of bathrooms. They're even worse than an outhouse. There's no sinks to wash your hands nor is there any hand sanitizer available. If you have any gastric issues then go before using the park or don't bother coming to the park.
If you have small children then don't bother coming since there's dudes peeing on the street when there's a bathroom nearby.
EDIT
Nope, the park has too many inconsiderate dog owners who think they're entitled to let their dog run off leash everywhere and any time.
Seasonal bathrooms are a thing...
Read moreI was traveling through and needed my disc golf fix! Good course for people who want to see what disc golf is. Most holes play straight forward, without any real obstacles. There are a couple shots you'll be able to use for learning how to shape a throw. UDisc is needed to find your way to each tee. Aside from hole one, there are no signposts. The tees are dirt with a wooden marker in the ground. This marker has the hole number and distance. Quick little 9 hole you can hit during lunch or right after work without people wondering where you disappeared to. Good for new players to learn basics like aiming...
