Asnacomet Pond — Attraction in Hubbardston

Beautiful lake for kayaking. Lots of nice cottages to see on the shores, but also areas of shore where you can pull up to eat a lunch (don't litter!), swim, or just relax a little. The GPS route took us to the small beach area (very nice place) and we entered the water there. But later when we were on the lake we saw that there's an actual boat ramp. Much easier to put in/out at that ramp. So look for that if you're yakking or sup'ing. Thoroughly enjoyed...

Perfect open water swimming venue. Bring your buoy and enjoy the deep, crystal clear beauty. One mile across lengthwise, about 2k total out/ back to the grassy meadow, about 2.5 perimeter. Fishermen love this place too, but motorized craft is limited. Great for kayaking and also a lovely family friendly beach. Plenty of parking once the gate opens, which in summer is around 9. Aug 11, 2022. SOMEONE is clear cutting the No. end of the pond. I draw attention to the 400 NO CUT ZONE which rings the pond. Someone needs to check with Hubbardston Authorities NOW to see if the correct permits have been pulled. COMET WILL DIE if folks keep destroying the 'filter system'...
