The biggest problem when visiting this lake is that Vermont charges $500 per family for entrance. Most people cannot afford this, obviously. I was told the money goes into a fund that will be used eventually to provide single-payer health insurance for Vermonters. Since there were five of us, and we were already there, I paid the money, but, needless to say, we won’t be back.
